Preverisk joined forces with Cape Verde’s Ministry of Tourism to regain confidence and reactivate the destination following the pandemic.
The partnership between Preverisk and Cape Verde’s Ministry of Tourism was formed to create safe conditions across all of the Cape Verde islands, offering a health seal of approval to tourism companies and services. Then ultimately giving tourists the opportunity to travel to a safe destination such as Cape Verde. The programme, named Turismo Seguro de Cabo Verde (Cape Verde's Safe Tourism), followed a request from the Ministry to devise a holistic plan to cover and protect the entire tourist circuit.
We at Preverisk would like to thank the Government of Cape Verde, for placing their trust in us to position it as a safe destination. Additionally, we applaud the initiative of managing the sector’s safety in a holistic and non-focused manner. At times such as the pandemic, we believe that we should work together in a coordinated manner across all subsectors. Of course it’s far better if the relevant Government can assist, thus ensuring optimal safety: One step further would be to not only invest in safe hotels, but also in safe destinations.
OUR MISSION: To develop the Safe Tourism programme for Cape Verde’s Ministry of Tourism which included: Training, the creation of a seal of approval for establishments, certification of the Ministry’s own inspectors and the preparation of over 20 protocols adapted for the entire tourist circuit.
