Interview with Antonio Canto, Quality Assurance Senior Manager at Amstar: Behind the challenge and towards future projects.

Preverisk Group and Amstar DMC are celebrating two years of close collaboration, full of challenges and great commitments to the end user. Amstar with a track record of more than thirty years operating in world-class destinations offering experiences in: tours, excursions, private itineraries and a wide range of transport options for the tourism sector. They were faced with the need to address the risk situation with accident rates occurring on excursions and journeys to destinations in line with one of their objectives which is to care for people, their health, wellbeing and safety.

A complete audit project was implemented to evaluate the general aspects of health and safety and in accordance with the strategies proposed by the Preverisk Group for Amstar, a ‘tailor-made suit’ was developed to minimise risks and provide better follow-up for the implementation of corrective actions.

Based on the events and after overcoming major challenges, we interviewed one of the key players in the project: Antonio Canto, Quality Assurance Senior Manager at Amstar DMC. In which he shared with us his opinion of the facts regarding the development of the Health & Safety programme, as well as expressing his experience of collaborating with Preverisk Group, an international consultancy focused on the global tourism industry, experts in Health, Hygiene, Safety and Sustainability.
