TUI and Preverisk collaborate on innovative project to modernise Health & Safety in the tourism sector

Tour operator TUI and Preverisk Group, a Health, Safety and Sustainability consultancy, have teamed up on a new project that will streamline Health & Safety processes and protect holidaymakers more efficiently in a post-COVID19 world, where customer Health & Safety will be more important than ever.

The plan is ambitious, global and already involves large international hotel businesses. The aim is to leverage the detailed data collection work that the tourism sector already carries out to ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, and apply an innovative business intelligence solution to increase process efficiencies. By taking a data-driven, digital approach to the offline problems of Health & Safety (and Security, Sustainability, Quality and others) – TUI and Preverisk will ensure the assessment process is more effective, and focuses on standards rather than box-ticking.

Hotel and tour operator costs will reduce, work duplication will be eliminated, and resource requirements will fall. This will allow participating hotel operations to focus on delivering outstanding, safe customer experiences instead of repeatedly jumping through administrative assessment hoops for their different tour operating partners – and build a true culture of Health & Safety rather than one of bureaucracy.

TUI and Preverisk have been working together for over decade on various collaborations and Health & Safety projects, all around the world. Through this latest initiative, they hope to strengthen this partnership and demonstrate a more effective, modern approach to the classic problems brought by the Health & Safety risk assessment process.
